It was National Road, or at least US-40, to Zanesville then US-22 home. I stopped
taking pictures near the Ohio line.
I followed the train around a bit today and even have an incredibly
amateurish video of it pulling into Frostburg.
It's a three day weekend and I'm in Maryland. The last time I was in
Maryland was just over a year ago to hitch a ride on a National Road
Festival wagon train for an American Road Magazine article. This year it's
another train for another article. This train is pulled by a nearly
century old iron horse on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. Like that
trip last year, there is a minor conflict between maintaining a web
journal and without pre-publishing the article. And also like last year,
I'm dealing with it by not using photos in my web reports that might have
a place in the print article. The result is a sort of "travel blog light".
