At its start, the conference's second bus tour looks much like the first with Dr Kevin Patrick in position to dispense information.

Exposition Park opened on Conneaut Lake in 1877 became Conneaut Lake Park in 1920 and may be only mostly dead today but no one really knows. It has had its share of ups and downs. Brian Butko has many memories of the park from his youth. He might be pointing to something in the photo but it's more likely that he is pointing to where something used to be. The park is surrounded by lots of vacation homes and the Hotel Conneaut which dates from 1893. Lake Conneaut is Pennsylvania's largest natural lake.

Pymatuning Reservoir is not natural but its biggest attraction is -- sort of. Wikipedia has information about the dam and reservoir here but Roadside America's entry on the fish and birds might be more interesting. It's here. I was here in 2009. Carp live an average of 17 to 20 years so it is possible that some of the carp recognized me but I did not recognize any of them.

I have seen A Christmas Story in its entirety once and in snippets a bunch. I enjoyed the movie but visiting A Christmas Story House where parts of it were filmed was not on my to-do list. I got caught up in the spirit of things, however, while the three members of the group who had never seen the movie walked around more or less mystified. I was at first mystified by the Flash Gordon costumes but found their presence one of the more interesting things in the house. As explained here, they are from a deleted scene.

After I had been through the house and was across the street at the museum, someone called my attention to a visit in a pink bunny suit. Apparently that happens much more often than I would have guessed. Suits are available in the gift shop.

The huge open space of Cleveland's West Side Market is as impressive as the variety of things offered for sale in it. After a pass through the market, Fred and I headed across the street to Great Lakes Brewing Company. The shot of the West Side Market exterior was taken from there.

Stretches of expressway that would otherwise be boring were filled with drawings for smallish prizes such as postcards. Emily made these entertaining from the beginning but they became even more so after she donned an elf hat purchased at the Christmas Story House.

The last stop of the bus tour was at Geneva-on-the-Lake where the bus dropped us off at one end of "The Strip" and picked us up at the other. The many gaming offerings include the oldest continuously operating miniature golf course in the country, Allison's. Food offerings are also numerous. That last photo was timed to include the orange three-wheeler but the target was the marquee. Smash, paint, axe, escape. What more could anyone want?

The town also has live entertainment, at least one art-crosswalk, a variety of lodging, and a brewery I did not have a chance to visit. And, true to its name, it really is on the shore of Lake Erie.

The conference's closing banquet was held at The Brewery at Union Station. I did a pitiful job of photographing this former train station but assure you it is a very impressive place.
