A Peek at the PP-OO
Today I tried just a few miles of two alignments of the Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean Highway before heading home.
September 2, 2007
I had guided tours of a palace and a barn and drove some really fun road
south of Wheeling.
September 1, 2007
I walked to the day's first attraction then headed to a place with flowers,
glass, artifacts, and an eighteenth century encampment. After leaning about
the creation of West Virginia I had lunch at the market and watched old
boats raise rooster tails on the river.
August 31, 2007
I started the day on I-71 and ended it on the National Road/National Old
Trails Road/US-40. I had great weather, met a fellow roadie for lunch, and
took in a couple of museums.
Prelude
This is going to be another hodge podge. Staying home over Labor Day
isn't an option but West Virginia is. I'll get a map together after I find
out where I've been.
