Day 10: September 3, 2001
Turning West

Before heading north, we enjoyed a good breakfast & good conversation with Aunt Jean. Some of the local birds have resorted to thievery to satisfy a "sweet beak" but this one was caught on Chris's surveillance camera.

Granny's Letters:

The day's route was pretty much a reverse of the last part of yesterday's with the addition of a stop in Lake Worth. That fact, combined with the early afternoon temperature, served as justification for keeping the car closed.

Just before reaching Melbourne, we stopped for a bit of refreshment at The Stables. We left there with the top down and called it a day not long after the turn west. We are done with the "rewind" and tomorrow are back to "fresh" roads.
